Intrathoracic lipoblastoma in a 7-month-old infant

Abstract

Lipoblastoma is a relatively rare benign tumor arising from embryonic white fat, occurring almost exclusively in infants. We report a case of intra-thoracic lipoblastoma discovered in a 7-month-old infant. The diagnosis was histological, and the surgical treatment consisted in a total removal of the mass. The postoperative course was simple with a follow-up of 6 months.
