Abstract

Review of article published in Pediatr. Blood Cancer 2018; 65(2). Summary of the impact of updated guidelines on rationalizing gentamicin use in febrile neutropenia in paediatric oncology. After guideline revision, gentamicin use decreased significantly (79.1% vs 20.9%), with better targeted prescription for confirmed Gram-negative infections.
