Chylothorax results from lymphatic fluid accumulation within pleural cavity. Although easily diagnosed by thoracocentesis, underlying etiopathogenesis remains difficult to assess. Lymphoscintigraphy is the best alternative, used to visualize lymphatic system and chyle accumulation in pleural cavity. We report the case of a newborn presented with congenital unilateral chylothorax resisting to medical treatment. Lymphoscintigraphy contributed to etiopathogenesis assessment and therefore to surgery success.Downloads
