Pure erythroblastic leukemia (PEL) is a rare entity with a poor prognosis. It can affect all ages including children. We report a case of PEL in an 11-month-old infant with skin lesions suggestive of leukemia, a mass of the vastus medialis and adenomegaly of the iliofemoral homolateral lymph nodes in a febrile context. The diagnosis was confirmed by immunophenotyping. The patient died due to chemoresistance detected by cytological and immunophenotypic non-remission.Downloads
