Abstract

Scimitar syndrome or Felson veno-lobar syndrome is a very rare pathology characterized by cardiopulmonary anomalies including an abnormal right pulmonary venous return, most often located in the inferior vena cava. We present an original observation of a male newborn who presented for immediate and moderate respiratory distress. The diagnosis was suspected on chest X-ray and confirmed on CT scan. The prognosis is related to the size of the left-right shunt and associated malformations.
