Guillain-Barré syndrome is an acute immune-mediated polyradiculoneuropathy that is the leading cause of acute paralysis in industrialized countries. Acute motor axonal neuropathy (AMAN) is a rare variant of GBS with motor impairment without sensory nerve impairment. We report three cases. The median age was 3 years. The EMG diagnosed acute motor axonal polyneuropathy (AMAN) in all cases. Anti-ganglioside antibodies were positive. Treatment is based on immunoglobulins and motor rehabilitation. The evolution was favorable.Downloads
