Drug induced lupus is a rare side effect of the continuous exposure to a medication, that disappears after the exposure is stopped. We report a case of systemic lupus induced by captopril in a 13-year-old girl. She presented with thrombocytopenia and leukopenia 3 years after having been on captopril. Antinuclear antibodies and native anti-DNA antibodies were positive. The outcome was favorable after captopril discontinuation.Downloads
