Introduction: Concept map learning is a teaching method based on the linking of key concepts to one another to enable the learner to better integrate knowledge. The objectives of this work were to evaluate the teaching from a case through a concept mapping to the students. Methods: We organized four sessions in a room in the pediatric ward of Charles Nicolle Hospital in Tunis, lasting 60 minutes each. Our population consisted of two groups of DCEM2 students on pediatric traineeship. Themes selected were acute post-infective glomerulonephritis and high blood pressure (hypertension). The student assessment included a pre-test, a similar post-test alongside a satisfaction survey. Results: Two groups of students including 20 students participated. The average score assigned to the pre-test and post-test was 5.99 ± 1.89/10 and 6.99 ± 1.78/10, respectively (p<0.0001). Conclusion: The teaching sessions from a case through the concept map helped to improve students' knowledge. Students were generally satisfied with this teaching.Downloads
