Objectives: To evaluate osmolarity of different infant milk formula before and after the supplementation of Dextrin maltose, Dextrose solution and EOPROTINE®, at different concentrations. Results: The basic osmolarity was between 259 and 339 mOsmol/l. EOPROTINE® osmolarity surpassed 400 mOsmol/l at the concentration of 2% for milk PRE-A. Dextrin Maltose concentrated at 1% increased the osmolarity of milk PRE-A and Milk E above 400 mOsmol/l. All milks enriched with dextrose solution exceeded 400 mOsmol/l from a concentration of 2%. Conclusion: Taking into account osmolarity during the artificial milk supplementation is essential to prevent digestive disorders for newborns.Downloads
